Final Reflection 307 Course

·         In this course I have learnt many things that I didn’t know and experienced before in my similar courses. The main skill that I have learnt was to do a professional research and do a big presentation in front of my class. I lacked the skill of presentations and demonstration. Thanks to Mr. Gregory’s assistance and motivation to learn, I am now capable of going further and do more presentations in class and future job. Furthermore, I also learnt a new skill called critical thinking, we learned it the meeting that we had. Surprise topics made me open a new door to brainstorm the information and think of ideas out of the box

·         I would use this skill in my future job. And demonstrate my skills that I have learnt to my colleagues and workplace to show them how it is done. Furthermore, I will execute my research skills in life and job to dig deeper of the things I plan to do.

·         My biggest challenge in my workplace is to do a meeting and speak in front of people. This course taught me how to overcome this challenge and adapt to the professional environment surrounding me.

·         I will use my brainstorming skills to overcome challenges that will occur in the meetings in my future job. Furthermore, the most interesting part is to adapt to new colleagues like what happened in my class. Doing meeting with strangers is not complicated or hard. In my experience in class, the other students were strangers to me.  During the meeting when I used my brainstorming skills to find new information it impressed the stranger’s classmates

·         My general comments about this course that this course is a MUST to all students in the college and other colleges. The importance of this course is making initializing people to meet the new world of presentations and meetings. In conclusion, I learnt too many skills in this course including editing my CV to poor one to a professional one thanks to MR. Gregory.

Meeting Reflection

Meeting Reflection

  On the 18^th of April we held a meeting about the events and conferences in ADMC at 10:30 am at HCT College in our class; our group consists of 3 members. I am Mohamed Jaber I was the chairman, Abdullah AlRumaithi was the minuet taker and also Saeed AlShamsi. The meeting was held in a good way is it was expected to be, every one of the group member was there and ready to begin the meeting discussion, the meeting was a good chance to learn how to discuss freely our point of view in a free way without fearing to conflict in our point of views. I learnt that discussion in a group, giving the chance to each one of us to say what he wants and be honest in viewing his own point is the most essential point in every group. Certainly, we needed to focus more on the effective points for our topic and distribute the tasks among each other.

2             Point the good and bad influence of the events and conferences

·         Abdullah said that it helps by relieving the students from the studying and may help them find their interest or it may help with the studying if it were related.

·         Mohammed thought that bad thing well be that students get far away from their classes to join the event and to meet their friends

·         Saeed said that it well be good that students show their skills in a certain events

3             Discus how we can make the conference more interesting for the students

·         Abdullah thought about making a survey about what will make the students attend and take part in the events and conferences

·         Saeed agreed to Abdullah point and mentioned another way that he meet the students as group in the library or canteen to discus with them

4             Gain support of ADMC management to hold a conference for the business major
 

·         Mohammed thought that we need to send a letter to ADMC management and to get a pemission to make the conference

·         Abdullah said that before we speak to the ADMC management we need to be prepared and find a company that is interest in holding a conference in ADMC and it is related to the business major

·         Saeed think that we should make a vote for the ADMC students and teachers to see how many are willing to attend the conference

5          Recommendations – discussion points

·         Abdullah said that we should hold another meeting after we vote and find the company for the conference

·         Mohammed agreed and choose a time for the next meeting and he well send an email to the ADMC management for the permission

Objectives:

In this meeting we are going to discuss about the events and conferences and what it brings to the ADMC and does it have a good influence or a bad influence on the students. We will discuss about what may spark the interest in the students and make them attend and take part in the events and conferences. After that, we will discuss how can we bring a conference to the ADMC that we think the business major student will benefit from and we will discuss how we can gain support from the ADMC management to allow us to hold the conference and provide us with the space needed in the collage.
